I started this journey in 2012, shaped by my own experiences growing up in Africa. I know what adversity looks like and I’ve seen how education can completely transform a life. That belief drives everything we do.
Reappliance is more than just a charity shop. We’re here to support communities in the UK and Ghana by giving Class II appliances like televisions, laptops, tablets phones and game consoles. Too many families go without, simply because they can’t afford the basics.
You and I both know the hidden cost behind these products. Mining raw materials like lithium often comes at the expense of children’s safety in parts of Africa. That’s something I can’t ignore. I believe in recycling but I also believe some things deserve another home before they’re scrapped.
In the UK, people donate used but working Class II appliances to our hubs. We PAT test each item to make sure it’s safe, then offer it in our shop at a price people can actually afford. It’s simple, but it works keeping good products in use and helping people who need them most.
We’re also making sure everything we do is above board including looking into public liability insurance to keep our spaces safe and compliant.
Thanks for stopping by. Supporting Reappliance means you’re not just donating or buying you’re being part of a bigger mission for change.
Step into a world of giving and experience with our volunteers who have grown significantly and committed to advancing our mission of empowering children through education. As we expand, our focus is on bringing the impactful initiatives by replicating our success. We aim to provide more opportunities and essential resources. Our ultimate goal is to remove the barriers that prevent children from reaching their full potential, enabling them to dream big and envision a future full of limitless possibilities.
We start with people, not products. Through one on one interviews and group sessions, we get to know each individual’s unique educational needs. This personalised approach helps us match them with the right tools, whether it’s a device, a service, or a learning opportunity, so they can thrive.
We provide a safe, interactive learning environment where students can focus, collaborate, and grow. By using donated, second hand devices instead of brand new ones, we not only make tech more accessible, we reduce e waste and lower the demand for resource intensive manufacturing. Once a device reaches the end of its life, we recycle it responsibly or recover usable parts for future repairs, keeping more hardware out of landfills.
Learning doesn’t stop with access to devices. We connect young people with industry experts online, guiding them toward trusted resources and helping them explore career paths. Whether it’s tech, trades, or creative fields, we help them find the knowledge, and confidence, to move forward.
At Reappliance, we know we’re stronger together. That’s why we actively collaborate with other charities and community organisations. By pooling resources and networks, we can reach more students, amplify our collective impact, and open more doors for those who need it most.
